The Opportunity

Location: Eureka, California and will consider Redding, Willits, and Fort Bragg

SHN's footprint (northern California and southern Oregon, from the coast inland) covers one of the most dynamic geologic environments in the country. Designing and building within this environment demands a special blend of knowledge and field experience that SHN’s geosciences team has grown over 40 years.

SHN is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer who wants to be a part of a well-established team of geologists and engineers. The ideal candidate will have their California Professional Engineers License and their GE, or the intent to eventually obtain a GE License.

This team member will collaborate with established senior staff and mentor junior staff. SHN currently employs 10 geologists, of whom 5 are Senior Engineering Geologists, and 11 materials testing technicians and special inspectors supporting three fully accredited materials testing laboratories, located in Eureka and Willits, CA, and in Coos Bay, OR. One of the things we enjoy is seeing projects develop from concept through construction. Many of our geologists and engineers work collaboratively with our laboratory testing and special inspection staff to support projects during the construction phase.
