About the Role

We're looking for a mid-level to seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Bloomington, CA. Whether you're an established engineer ready to take on more project ownership or a seasoned professional looking to lead projects and mentor junior staff, you'll work on real-world problems including seismic load analysis, retaining wall and slope design, and subsurface investigation, contributing to safe, well-built schools, commercial properties, and residential developments.

What You'll Do

• Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and design recommendations for educational, commercial, and residential projects
• Plan and oversee field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing
• Review boring logs and laboratory test data to characterize subsurface conditions
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and construction teams to integrate geotechnical recommendations into project designs
• Communicate findings clearly to clients, school districts, and project teams through written reports and presentations
• Mentor junior staff and support their technical development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience; California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• California Geotechnical Engineer (GE) license preferred
• Proven track record managing projects and/or client relationships; senior candidates should have experience leading projects and mentoring staff
• Familiarity with geotechnical design software and analysis methods relevant to seismic and slope stability work
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites as needed
